First, for the past 25 years since our departure from ink based typewriters, we have become comfortable with the tool sets and management frameworks that have grown up to allow us to manage physical desktop populations in easier and more automated manners. With virtualization of the desktop (operating systems, applications, profiles, data sets) most of these legacy tools do not suffice to allow us to truly harness the potential of virtualization. While they may accomplish some automation, they lack other functionality that hinders the true OPEX, Agility, and Security benefits of VDI.
Now, in migrating from physical desktops to virtual ones, regardless of architecture, is a three-step process. EXPLORE>EXPAND>STANDARDIZE. However, the process should not even begin without a logical methodology.
Failure to follow this methodology may result in quasi-successful deployments, however, the risk is that the ability for the desktop population to scale or adapt as new technologies emerge yields tactical benefits, but strategic challenges.
Therefore, Liquidware Labs Inc. has, together with the included documentation, built a digital ONRAMP to VDI that follows proven and validated processes, includes robust inventory and discovery software, allows the Consultant to use result focused data to populate template Statements of Work, Blueprint and Design Guides, in an effort to design stable and scalable initial deployments.
Our global consultants hail from the Hardware, Software, OEM, and Professional Services ranks of the virtualization industry going back to 1999. This collective pool of talent has crafted standards that strictly adhere to the technical recommendations of the major Virtualization Vendors, namely VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, and Sun Microsystems.
This pedigree combined with our patented Machine Inspector, Network Inspector, and Storage Inspector and reporting engine leaves us highly confident that your customers will see the tremendous value you bring to them in exploring this new technology known as desktop and application virtualization.
