Adds new product lines to enable profile deployment, optimization, migration, and portability
For Immediate Release:
SAN FRANCISCO, CA, August 31st, 2009 - Liquidware Labs Inc. (LWL), the market leader in virtual desktop and application assessment and diagnostics, today announced at VMworld 2009 they have acquired Entrigue Systems, creators of ProfileUnity - a privately held company based in Atlanta, GA that develops enterprise-level user profile and configuration management solutions for VDI and traditional Windows desktops.
Entrigue’s VDI and desktop management solutions are the ProfileUnity line of products. The solutions offer comprehensive user profile and desktop management configuration features. Liquidware Labs will offer ProfileUnity in a Standard version and a Pro version. ProfileUnity Standard enables organizations to manage, migrate, and make Windows user profiles completely portable from VMware View, Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix XenApp, Microsoft MED-V, a laptop -wherever the user signs on. The solution solves user persistency issues common in VDI and boasts the ability to migrate existing user profiles and files from physical to virtual environments.
ProfileUnity Pro adds powerful automated desktop configuration and deployment integrity features such as the ability to create application shortcuts, map drives, install printers, and auto-configure Outlook MAPI profiles. The solution can also modify environment variables, adjust Internet proxy settings, configure RDP connections, and further customize client machines during user logon.
ProfileUnity Pro includes the following enterprise class capabilities:
"We are proud to be exhibiting in the New Innovator Pavilion for the first time at VMworld 2009 in San Francisco," commented David Bieneman, Founder and CEO, Liquidware Labs. "The momentum we are seeing in the market is a testament to the requirement for the unprecedented visibility we provide our customers into what they have, what they are using and thus what they need to migrate to a VDI platform."
To further support LWL’s VDI solutions, Taneja Group has just completed a Solutions Brief on Liquidware Labs, Dave Bartoletti, Senior Analyst and Consultant at Taneja Group, summarizes, "We are impressed by LWL’s approach to the challenges of large-scale enterprise VDI and have yet to see a competing offering that compiles such a rich data set or delivers such a powerful classification algorithm. Stratusphere takes the heavy lifting out of user, desktop and application best fit analysis, and presents its results in an innovative display that’s easy to understand and socialize." See here for full details, and a copy will be available on LWL’s booth.
