Report cites that Liquidware Labs Stratusphere helps remove risk and doubt for customers rolling-out VDI
ALPHARETTA, Ga.– April 28, 2010 0 - Liquidware Labs, the leader in Assessment, Migration, and User Experience Management for next generation desktops, today announced that the company has been named as a Gartner Cool Vendor in Client Computing for 2010.
The report was written by top ranking staff in Gartner’s Client Computing practice including Mark A. Margevicius, Leslie Fiering, Brian Gammage, and Terrence Cosgrove. Their findings indicate that, “Any organization evaluating HVDs (hosted virtual desktops) or planning to extend an HVD deployment should consider using tools such as those offered by Liquidware Labs to determine suitability for user requirements” and that “Stratusphere helps remove risk and doubt in an area that is poorly understood.”
Liquidware Labs Stratusphere and Liquidware Labs ProfileUnity speed adoption and lower the cost of rolling-out new desktop technologies such as Citrix XenDesktop, VMware View, and Microsoft Windows 7. Together the solutions form a complete ‘On-Ramp’ and provide ongoing lifecycle management of new desktops. The end-to-end solutions accomplish assessment, migration, configuration, and user service level assurance, giving integrators and administrators everything they need to move organizations to a new desktop environment.
According to the Gartner Analysts, “Liquidware Labs provides diagnostic (solutions) and services that can help organizations assess where in an organization HVDs may be appropriate. Its Stratusphere product allows organizations to analyze current desktop performance requirements and map them to HVD capabilities. The IT organization then can analyze and evaluate individual desktops, applications and users for HVD suitability in terms of workload (computational) and network capabilities. Stratusphere displays results graphically, providing a quick summary of users who are suited for HVD deployments and those who are less appropriate. For organizations that are struggling to map HVDs to their requirements and are confused by vendor marketing, Stratusphere offers a straightforward mechanism for framing investment decisions.”
“We’re very pleased to be recognized as a Cool Vendor in client computing by Gartner,” said Tyler Rohrer, COO and founder of Liquidware Labs. “Organizations of all sizes look to Gartner for direction in deploying technologies which can make them more competitive and efficient, speed the time to adoption, and lower overall costs. Our Stratusphere and ProfileUnity solutions do exactly that for companies looking for direction and a strategy to roll-out VDI and next desktop solutions such as Citrix XenDesktop, VMware View, and Windows 7.”
